Squeeze: Photo Video Compress
Publisher: NK Tools
Android package: com.mediacompress.squeeze
Effective date: 7 October 2026
1. Your media and local history
When you select a file in Android's document picker or share it into Squeeze, the app creates a private working copy. Compression outputs, filenames, file sizes, processing status and activity history are stored in the app's private storage so you can compare results and return to completed work. Your original files are not overwritten.
These working copies and results remain until you remove them, clear finished activity, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. Re-encoded photos omit original metadata. If an already-efficient file is kept as an original copy, its metadata remains present.
2. Saving and sharing
Saving a copy or sharing a result transfers that file only to the destination you choose. If you select a cloud-backed folder or another app, that destination may upload or process the file under its own settings and privacy policy. Copies saved outside Squeeze are not removed when you clear Squeeze's activity or uninstall it.
3. Advertising and Google services
Squeeze uses the Google Mobile Ads Next-Gen SDK to display AdMob banners. Google may collect and share your IP address (which can indicate approximate location), app and ad interactions, diagnostic and performance information, and device or account-related identifiers such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID. These data are used for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Squeeze does not send the contents of your selected photos or videos to the advertising SDK.
Google states that data collected by this SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS. Google's processing, retention and controls are described in its Privacy Policy and advertising information. Squeeze does not operate a separate media-storage or analytics server.
Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform presents privacy choices. Ad requests are gated by that platform's consent state. If applicable, Settings includes Ad privacy choices to revisit your choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID through Android's settings and review Google's ad controls. Declining personalized advertising does not necessarily prevent all advertising-related data processing.
4. Permissions and background work
Internet access is used for advertising and consent updates. Compression itself works offline. The Android document picker grants access to selected files; Squeeze does not request broad photo-library access. Notification permission allows progress updates. A foreground service performs user-started compression batches and displays ongoing progress with a cancellation action.
5. Your choices and deletion
You can remove results or clear finished activity in the app. This deletes the associated app-private working copies and outputs, not your originals or copies saved elsewhere. Clearing Android app storage or uninstalling removes the app's private data. There is no Squeeze account to delete.
Advertising data processed by Google is subject to Google's retention policies and privacy controls; clearing Squeeze's local files does not delete data held by Google. Contact us with questions about Squeeze's handling of your information.
6. Support and this website
If you email support, we receive the address and information you choose to include so we can respond. Please avoid attaching sensitive media unless it is necessary to explain your issue. Support correspondence is retained as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable obligations; you may request deletion of correspondence by contacting us.
This support website is hosted by Cloudflare. Hosting infrastructure may process request information, such as IP addresses and technical logs, to deliver and protect the website. We do not add advertising or analytics scripts to this website. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
7. Children
Squeeze is a general utility and is not designed specifically for children. We do not knowingly solicit children's personal information through support. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and address the request.
8. Policy changes
We may update this policy when app features or data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
